IPMA Assessment Preparation

In-Depth training (Two days)

During this two-day training, the participants reflect on how they are functioning as project manager, and they judge each other. The training is relevant for those participants, who already have sufficient experience for the IPMA certification. In short:

  • 3 years actual experience in project management and an IPMA C theory certificate, or
  • 5 years actual experience, of which three on complex projects (B), or
  • 5 years actual experience in managing complex programmes (A)

The training consists of two separate days with a gap of about four weeks in between, during which time each participant reviews a project/programme that they have managed, and that they want to use during the assessment interview to demonstrate that they are a competent project manager.

In parallel with this, each participant receives individual guidance as preparation for the assessment interview.

individual guidance

When you start with the IPMA practical certification, one of the first things you notice is the number of reports you have to deliver. We have a lot of experience with this, and it is worth considering letting us guide you through this process. We can then ensure that the reports you complete provide a realistic picture of your experience and competence as a project manager, thus increasing the chance of a positive certification. In order to achieve an optimum preparation, we conclude by holding a short assessment training immediately before the actual assessment interview.

Stages during the certification

Below, you will find an overview of the different steps. The leftmost column shows what we do for guidance, and the remaining columns show the steps that you have to take for the different levels at the IPMA .
